OUR APPROACH
Education Shaped by the Trivium
IDCA embraces and applies the three stages of learning known as the Trivium when choosing curriculum. All texts and materials are viewed through the lens of Scripture, with the conviction that all knowledge is interpreted by and built upon the foundation of the truth of God's Word.
The classical methodology pays close attention to the stages of a child's brain development while requiring students to meet high expectations and standards. This approach nurtures intellectual growth within the parameters of a student's maturity level, building both character and confidence.

Grammar School
Kindergarten-5th Grade
Students absorb the foundational facts and rules of every subject — the "grammar" of language, math, history, and science — through memory, song, and repetition, laying a rich foundation for future reasoning.
II
Logic School
6th-8th Grade
As students develop the capacity for abstract thought, they learn to analyze, question, and argue. They begin to see how facts connect and how to construct well-reasoned arguments from a biblical worldview.
III
Rhetoric School
9th-12th Grade
Students learn to express their knowledge and convictions with clarity, grace, and persuasion — in writing, in speech, and in life — becoming confident communicators ready to engage the world.
